Kings Park International Church in Durham, NC, partnered with LUMENAV to bring their worship experience into a modern era of clarity, flexibility, and sonic excellence. Spearheaded by Jaron Petty—whose forward-thinking leadership called for an overhaul of their aging system—we were brought in to evaluate and redesign the entire audio infrastructure. From the first walkthrough, it was clear that while some gear had potential, the core systems were outdated and underperforming. Our mission was to deliver a high-quality, industry-standard solution that would elevate the church’s worship and live sound experience while being simple enough for volunteers to operate confidently.
The new audio system centered around JBL SRX910LA line arrays—ten per side—tuned to the sanctuary’s wide, semi-circular layout. The result was immediate: a clean, powerful sound that filled the room evenly and revealed the full richness of worship music and the spoken word. For low-end support, we installed six dual 18” JBL SRX subs in a cardioid configuration, eliminating stage rumble while delivering tight, focused bass throughout the room. This was paired with ULXD wireless systems, Shure PSM 900 in-ear monitoring, and a comprehensive KLANG immersive monitor solution. Vocalists and band members each received their own iPad-accessible mix control, supported by two KLANG management stations.
At the heart of the system were two DiGiCo Quantum 225 digital mixing consoles, chosen for their reliability, sonic fidelity, and scalability. We provided a phased implementation plan, beginning with basic system training and integration, followed by a planned second phase to incorporate Waves processing and further monitor optimization. The fiber-based infrastructure ensures minimal signal degradation and room for future growth.
As always, the LUMENAV focus was not just on installation, but on usability and long-term empowerment. Our team trained Kings Park’s staff, collaborated openly with their ongoing video install team, and ensured that the space was left as clean, efficient, and organized as possible. From day one, the church experienced a significant upgrade in clarity, punch, and ease of use—making this one of the most satisfying transformations in our portfolio.
