Audio System Upgrade

Mount Zion Baptist Church is one of Greensboro’s most active and spirited worship communities. When their leadership realized the sound system wasn’t keeping up with the growing energy and needs of their services, they brought in Lumenav to help. The old setup was loud but unclear—words were getting lost, music sounded muddy, and different parts of the room experienced the sound completely differently. Our job was to fix all of that with a system that truly supported their powerful gospel style.

 

We started by listening—not just to the sound in the room, but to the team’s needs and goals. While some other companies recommended expensive acoustic treatment, we recognized the room didn’t need to be deadened—it needed a PA system that worked with its natural energy. We installed a premium d&b audiotechnik KSL system, known for its precision sound coverage and ability to reduce noise bouncing around the space. The result? Clearer speech, richer music, and better sound throughout the sanctuary.

 

Next, we upgraded every part of their audio system behind the scenes. We installed new digital mixing consoles from DiGiCo, ran fiber-optic cables for faster, cleaner signal flow, and added a KLANG monitoring system so musicians and singers could control their own mix using iPads. We also provided top-tier wireless mics and in-ear monitors from Shure, making Sunday service sound better—and run smoother—than ever before.

 

We didn’t just walk away after the install. We trained the staff, saved backup files, and made sure everyone felt confident running the new system. Now, Mount Zion has a future-ready setup that makes worship more immersive and joyful—for everyone in the room.
